Carnival Celebration is the second Excel class ship and Carnival's flagship in Miami. She carries the same six-zone DNA as Mardi Gras — French Quarter, La Piazza, Summer Landing, The Lido, Grand Central, and Brasserie de Paris — with minor refinements based on guest feedback from her sister. Celebration also has the BOLT roller coaster, WaterWorks aqua park, and the Serenity adults-only retreat. Homeported in Miami for easy access from South Florida, she sails primarily to the Western Caribbean, Bahamas, and Mexico.

✦ The standout feature

Celebration Central — a new main atrium design with a dramatic overhead LED skylight display. The atrium hosts live performances, themed events, and the Carnival Celebration's signature late-night deck parties. It gives the ship a more festival-market feel than Mardi Gras's Grand Central.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Carnival Celebration the same as Mardi Gras?
They are sister ships — same Excel class hull, same six zones, same BOLT coaster. The main differences are the atrium design (Celebration Central vs Grand Central), minor restaurant tweaks, and homeport: Celebration is based in Miami while Mardi Gras sails from Port Canaveral.
What ports does Carnival Celebration sail from?
Miami's PortMiami is her homeport. She typically sails 4–7 night itineraries to the Western Caribbean (Cozumel, Mahogany Bay, Belize, Costa Maya), the Bahamas (Nassau, Half Moon Cay), and Bermuda.
Does Carnival Celebration have a rollercoaster?
Yes — BOLT is the same electric sea coaster as on Mardi Gras, running along 800 feet of track on the top deck at up to 40 mph. It costs $15 per ride and can be booked in the Carnival HUB app.
