Carnival Legend is the second ship in Carnival's Spirit class, delivered in 2002 and one of the most-travelled vessels in the fleet, having sailed from Tampa, Sydney, Seattle, Baltimore, and ports across Europe over her career. She now splits her year between a Tampa, Florida winter season of Western Caribbean and Panama Canal itineraries and an extensive European summer, arriving at a new seasonal homeport of Dover, England for Northern Europe sailings to Scandinavia, the British Isles, and the Baltic, including a rare Carnival Journeys Eclipse cruise timed to the August 2026 total solar eclipse, before shifting to Civitavecchia, Italy for a fall Mediterranean season. A recent refurbishment refreshed her Truffles dining room, Alchemy Bar, and Follies Main Lounge, keeping the two-decade-old ship feeling current for cruisers on both sides of the Atlantic.
Legend is Carnival's most peripatetic ship, crossing the Atlantic every year to swap a Tampa-based Caribbean winter for an extended European season — including a once-in-a-lifetime Carnival Journeys Eclipse sailing timed to the August 12, 2026 total solar eclipse.
