Carnival Splendor is the sole ship in Carnival's Splendor class, delivered in 2008 as a larger, more spacious cousin to the Conquest-class fleet. After stints sailing from Genoa, Dover, and Long Beach, she settled into a year-round Sydney homeport in December 2019 and has remained Australia's biggest Carnival ship ever since. A major refurbishment brought Carnival WaterWorks with the Drainpipe and Twister slides, the adults-only Serenity retreat, Family Harbor staterooms, and fleet favourites like Guy's Burger Joint, Bonsai Sushi, and the RedFrog Pub. From Sydney's Overseas Passenger Terminal, she sails 2- to 12-night itineraries covering short coastal getaways, Tasmania, the Great Barrier Reef, the South Pacific, and New Zealand, making her a versatile, easy-access choice for Australian and Kiwi cruisers of every kind.
As the only ship in her class, Splendor is noticeably larger and more spacious than Carnival's Conquest-class ships of the same era — and she's the largest ship ever based year-round in Australia.
