Celebrity Infinity entered service in 2001 as the second Millennium-class ship, sister to Summit, Millennium, and Constellation. After years crisscrossing the Caribbean, Alaska, and beyond, she found a natural home in the Mediterranean, becoming Celebrity's first ship to sail there year-round starting in 2023. A Revolution refurbishment brought her cabins and public rooms up to modern Celebrity standards while preserving the classic Millennium-class layout that longtime cruisers know well. She now shuttles between Barcelona and Piraeus, threading together Italy, Greece, Turkey, and the Adriatic on itineraries built for extended Mediterranean exploration.

✦ The standout feature

Celebrity Infinity was the line's first ship to be homeported in the Mediterranean year-round, giving her a depth of Mediterranean itinerary variety — from the Greek Isles to the Adriatic to the Eastern Med — that few other Celebrity ships match.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Celebrity Infinity sail?
Celebrity Infinity sails year-round in the Mediterranean, alternating homeports between Barcelona and Piraeus (Athens) by season. Itineraries cover Italy, Greece, Turkey, Malta, and the Adriatic, making her one of Celebrity's most Mediterranean-focused ships.
Has Celebrity Infinity been renovated?
Yes. Infinity underwent a Revolution refurbishment that modernised her staterooms, added AquaClass cabins, and refreshed dining and public spaces, while retaining the classic 2001 Millennium-class layout that many repeat cruisers appreciate.
Is Celebrity Infinity too old to be worth booking?
No. While she's one of the older ships in the fleet, her Revolution refurbishment kept her competitive, and her Mediterranean itineraries and Celebrity's signature dining and service quality make her a strong value choice, often at a lower price point than newer ships.
What size is Celebrity Infinity compared to newer Celebrity ships?
At roughly 90,940 gross tons and carrying about 2,170 guests, Infinity is considerably smaller and more intimate than Edge-class ships like Celebrity Beyond or Ascent, which carry over 3,000 guests. That smaller scale means shorter lines and a quieter onboard feel.
