Celebrity Millennium was the lead ship of the Millennium class when she debuted in 2000, introducing the design template that Summit, Infinity, and Constellation would follow. She has since become one of the most well-travelled ships in the fleet, sailing everywhere from the Caribbean and South America to Antarctica. Today she splits her year between deep Asia itineraries — from Singapore, Hong Kong, and increasingly Japan — and Alaska sailings from Vancouver in the summer months. A Revolution refurbishment modernised her staterooms and dining while keeping the classic Millennium-class bones intact.

✦ The standout feature

As the fleet's original Millennium-class ship, she carries a genuinely global itinerary history few ships can match, and her current dual Asia/Alaska deployment lets guests choose two of the most scenically distinct cruise regions on one hull.

✓ Best for
  • Alaska cruisers wanting a smaller, classic ship
  • Deep Asia itinerary seekers (Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan)
  • Couples who prefer an intimate ship over a mega-ship
  • Celebrity loyalists who like the classic Millennium-class layout
✗ Not the right fit for

Cruisers wanting Celebrity's newest Edge-class features, or families seeking large-scale waterparks and kids' facilities. Millennium's strength is destination-rich itineraries, not onboard scale.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Celebrity Millennium sail?
Celebrity Millennium sails deep Asia itineraries from Singapore and Hong Kong in winter, calling at destinations like Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Bali, then repositions to sail Alaska from Vancouver in the Northern Hemisphere summer.
Is Celebrity Millennium the original ship in her class?
Yes. Launched in 2000, Celebrity Millennium was the lead ship of the Millennium class, followed by Infinity and Summit in 2001 and Constellation in 2002. She set the design template — including Murano, the Celebrity Theatre layout, and AquaClass staterooms added later — that her sister ships share.
Has Celebrity Millennium been renovated recently?
Yes. She underwent a Revolution refurbishment that refreshed staterooms, added AquaClass cabins, and updated dining and public spaces with contemporary Celebrity design, while retaining her original 2000 layout and intimate size.
Is Celebrity Millennium a good choice for Alaska?
Yes. Her smaller size and classic design suit Alaska's scenic cruising well, with plenty of outdoor viewing space and a more intimate feel than the larger ships some lines deploy there. She offers Celebrity's signature dining and service on top of the scenery.
