Celebrity Xcel
“Celebrity's newest and largest Edge-class ship — shaped by guest input, and the first in the fleet built to run on methanol.”
Celebrity Xcel is the fifth and newest ship in Celebrity's Edge class, entering service in November 2025 after being developed in part through the line's 'Xcel Dream Makers' program, which gave past guests direct input on the ship's dining, design, and entertainment. She carries over the Edge-class hallmarks — the cantilevered Magic Carpet platform, the Eden entertainment complex, Infinite Veranda cabins — while adding seven new venues, including the three-deck Bazaar dining and retail hall, the rooftop Mediterranean restaurant Bora, and what Celebrity calls its most expansive spa to date. She's also the first ship in the Celebrity fleet built with a tri-fuel-capable engine that can run on methanol. Xcel sails the Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale through her debut season before repositioning to the Mediterranean, homeporting in Barcelona and Athens, for summer 2026.
Xcel is the first Celebrity ship with a tri-fuel-capable engine that can run on methanol for lower emissions, and the first Edge-class ship to add The Bazaar, a three-deck dining, retail, and entertainment hall built around itinerary-specific regional festivals.
