Disney Fantasy is the second and slightly newer of Disney Cruise Line's two Dream-Class ships, entering service in 2012. Based year-round in Port Canaveral, she's the line's main workhorse for longer Caribbean itineraries, running 5-night Bahamian and 7-night Eastern/Western Caribbean cruises with a call at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. Art Deco styling throughout nods to 1920s ocean-liner glamour, while rotational dining, Broadway-calibre stage shows, and the AquaDuck water coaster keep families entertained for a full week at sea without ever feeling repetitive.

✦ The standout feature

The AquaDuck — a 765-foot water coaster that sends rafts uphill and out over the side of the ship, plus Europa, an adults-only nightlife district with three distinct themed nightclubs.

  • Multi-generational groups who want variety over 7 nights
  • Fans of classic Disney stage shows and rotational dining
  • Couples seeking a low-key adults-only escape (Europa, Palo, Remy)
✗ Not the right fit for

Cruisers wanting the very newest ship technology and attractions — Fantasy is over a decade old and, while well maintained, lacks the AquaMouse and newer dining concepts found on Disney Wish. Also not suited to gamblers, as Disney ships carry no casino.

7-night Caribbean from ~$1,500/pp (inside) to $4,000+/pp (concierge suite)

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream?
They're sister ships in the Dream Class with nearly identical specs and layouts. Fantasy is slightly newer (2012 vs. 2011) and typically runs longer 5- and 7-night Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral, while Dream focuses on shorter Bahamian cruises.
Does Disney Fantasy visit Castaway Cay?
Yes, nearly every Disney Fantasy itinerary includes a full day at Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas, which features a dedicated adults-only beach, family beach, and kids' water play area.
Is Disney Fantasy good for adults without kids?
Yes, more than you might expect. Europa's three themed nightclubs, the adults-only Palo and Remy restaurants, and Satellite Falls relaxation pool create genuine adult space, even though the ship is still primarily designed around families.
What itineraries does Disney Fantasy sail?
Disney Fantasy mainly alternates between 5-night Bahamian cruises and 7-night Eastern or Western Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral, with occasional longer Southern Caribbean sailings visiting islands like St. Maarten.
