Disney Magic was Disney Cruise Line's very first ship, entering service in 1998 and setting the template every Disney vessel since has followed. Two major refurbishments have kept her feeling fresh, adding the AquaDunk body slide, Tangled- and Frozen-inspired dining, and a completely reimagined Animator's Palate. Rather than sitting still, Magic roams more than any other Disney ship: Western Caribbean cruises from Galveston, Mexican Riviera sailings from San Diego, and — new for 2026 — her first-ever Alaska season from Vancouver, alongside past Mediterranean and transatlantic crossings. Her smaller size than the newer mega-ships gives her a more intimate, classic-ocean-liner feel, with the same rotational dining, Broadway-style shows, and character experiences Disney is known for, just on a cozier scale.
