Noordam entered service in 2006 as the fourth and final ship in Holland America's Vista class, joining sisters Zuiderdam, Oosterdam, and Westerdam. Built by Fincantieri, she carries the class's signature exterior glass elevators and verandah-heavy stateroom mix. A 2024 renovation refreshed staterooms and added Starlink connectivity, valuable given her far-flung itinerary: 7-night Alaska sailings between Vancouver and Whittier each summer, followed by Australia & New Zealand itineraries between Auckland and Sydney.
Starlink satellite internet, added in her 2024 renovation specifically to keep guests connected through remote stretches of Alaska and the South Pacific — rare for a mid-sized classic ship.
