MSC Poesia entered service in 2008 as the third Musica-class ship, sharing her sisters' layout and signature atrium design. Ahead of summer 2026 she underwent a major refit at Malta's Palumbo Shipyard, adding her first-ever MSC Yacht Club, the Butcher's Cut steakhouse, Kaito Sushi Bar, All-Stars Sports Bar, and a reimagined MSC Aurea Spa. Freshly refreshed, she then made history as MSC Cruises' first-ever Alaska ship, homeporting in Seattle for 7-night sailings to Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Juneau, and Victoria. Come winter, she transits the Panama Canal to Miami for longer Caribbean round-trips before returning north for a second Alaska season in 2027 — giving her one of the most novel deployment patterns in the MSC fleet.
The Poesia Atrium's three-tier waterfall and suspended crystal piano, paired with the ship's history-making role as MSC Cruises' very first Alaska ship, sailing from a brand-new Seattle homeport.
