MSC Preziosa
“MSC's most opulent Fantasia-class ship — Swarovski crystal staircases and a sweeping infinity pool.”
MSC Preziosa entered service in 2013 as the fourth and most lavish Fantasia-class ship, built with a heavier emphasis on decorative extravagance than her sister ships. Her signature staircases are lined with Swarovski crystal — reportedly around $8,000 per step — and lead down to a real stone piazza and a striking infinity-style pool. For 2026 she's based in Northern Europe, sailing Norwegian Fjords and Baltic itineraries from Hamburg in summer with a full winter season homeported in Southampton, a first for the ship. Six specialty restaurants, including a sushi bar rated among the best at sea by the Berlitz guide, round out a genuinely food-forward ship.
The Swarovski crystal staircases — sweeping, illuminated stairways finished with genuine Swarovski crystal steps — descending toward a real stone piazza and an infinity-edge pool that's one of the most photographed spots in the MSC fleet.
