Enchantment of the Seas entered service in 1997 as a standard Vision-class ship, but a landmark 2005 refit set her apart from her sisters permanently: shipbuilders cut the hull in two amidship and inserted a new 73-foot section, the largest cruise ship lengthening ever attempted at the time. The stretch added 151 staterooms along with Chops Grille, Boleros Latin lounge, and a Splash Deck water-play area with interactive jets and a suspension bridge over the pool. The result is a Vision-class ship with meaningfully more space than Grandeur, Rhapsody, or Vision — and a deck plan that reads differently because of the inserted midsection. She's homeported in Baltimore, sailing Bahamas, Bermuda, and Caribbean itineraries.
