Explorer of the Seas
“A wandering Voyager-class ship splitting her year between Florida's Bahamas getaways and the Mediterranean's Greek Isles.”
Explorer of the Seas entered service in 2000 as the second Voyager-class ship, debuting with onboard ScienceLab education programs that reflected her exploratory namesake. A 2015 refit swapped her inline-skating rink for a FlowRider surf simulator, and a 2023 drydock added The Perfect Storm racing waterslides, Cyclone and Typhoon, to her top deck. Today she leads an unusually international double life: winters and shoulder seasons see her running short 4- and 5-night Bahamas and Caribbean getaways from Port Canaveral, Florida, while summers send her across the Atlantic for 7-night Greek Isles and Adriatic sailings from Ravenna, Italy — making her one of the few Voyager-class ships to regularly sail European waters.
One of the only Voyager-class ships to regularly cross the Atlantic, splitting her year between short Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral and 7-night Greek Isles and Adriatic sailings from Ravenna, Italy; her 2023 refit added The Perfect Storm racing waterslides.
