Ovation of the Seas is the third Quantum-class ship, delivered in 2016, and one of Royal Caribbean's most well-traveled vessels — she splits her year between Alaska cruises from Seattle in the northern summer and Australia/New Zealand sailings from Sydney in the southern summer, giving guests on either side of the Pacific access to the same tech-forward ship. She carries the full suite of Quantum-class signature features: the record-holding North Star observation capsule, RipCord by iFly, and the SeaPlex indoor activity complex.
The North Star holds the Guinness World Record for tallest viewing deck on a cruise ship, lifting guests over 300 feet above sea level in a glass capsule — a striking way to view Alaska's glaciers or Sydney Harbour depending on the season.
