Star of the Seas is the second Icon-class ship, matching her sister Icon of the Seas gross-tonnage-for-gross-tonnage as a joint holder of the world's-largest-cruise-ship title. She entered service in August 2025 and sails year-round from Port Canaveral, Florida, on 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries that call at Cozumel, Roatán, and Costa Maya, all built around a stop at Royal Caribbean's private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay. The layout mirrors Icon's seven neighbourhoods, but Royal Caribbean used the second hull to swap in new venues rather than repeat the first ship exactly.
A newly built AquaTheater inside the AquaDome neighbourhood, staging the acrobatic show 'Torque' alongside the family favourite 'Mermaids & Pirates' — a live-performance space Icon of the Seas doesn't have. Star also debuts the ice show 'Sol' in the Absolute Zero rink and a full Broadway-scale production of Back to the Future: The Musical in the Royal Theatre.
