Voyager of the Seas made history in 1999 as the first ship of Royal Caribbean's game-changing Voyager class, introducing the four-deck Royal Promenade and onboard ice-skating rink that reshaped modern cruise ship design. A $97 million Royal Amplified renovation in 2019 added The Perfect Storm racing waterslides and Battle for Planet Z laser tag, and she spent the 2025-26 season as Royal Caribbean's newest homeport ship in Brisbane, Australia. She now splits her calendar between 7-night Alaska sailings from Seattle each summer and Mexican Riviera getaways from Los Angeles each fall and winter, giving West Coast cruisers two very different ways to experience this trailblazing original.
As the original Voyager-class ship, she introduced the Royal Promenade and ice-skating rink to the seas in 1999; her 2019 Royal Amplified refit added The Perfect Storm racing waterslides and Battle for Planet Z laser tag.
