About Seabourn
Founded 1986 · Ultra-luxury small-ship and expedition cruising
Seabourn was founded in 1986 as Signet Cruise Lines by Atle Brynestad and Warren Titus, was quickly renamed, is headquartered in Seattle, and has been wholly owned by Carnival Corporation since 2001. It is known for ultra-luxury, yacht-like cruising on small all-suite ships, with a high crew-to-guest ratio and a relaxed, refined atmosphere.
Five ships are currently in service: Seabourn Quest (2011), the last Odyssey-class ship; Seabourn Encore (2017) and Seabourn Ovation (2018), the larger Encore-class ships carrying about 600 guests; and the expedition ships Seabourn Venture (2022) and Seabourn Pursuit (2023), each carrying 264 guests with two submarines and 24 Zodiacs. Seabourn Odyssey and Seabourn Sojourn were sold to Mitsui Ocean Cruises, with Sojourn leaving in May 2026.
Dining includes The Restaurant, The Colonnade and The Grill by Thomas Keller, with beverages, gratuities and specialty dining included in the fare. Ventures by Seabourn offers shore activities such as kayaking and small-group excursions, and the expedition ships head to Antarctica, the Arctic and other remote destinations.
