Ibiza's cruise reputation undersells it — Dalt Vila, the fortified old town rising above the harbour, is a genuine UNESCO World Heritage Site with Ibiza's best views, and the island's beach scene works perfectly well as a low-key day trip, not just a nightclub backdrop. Most cruise berths sit within an easy walk of the old town walls, with the sandy beaches close enough to combine both in a single port day.

💡 DIY Tip
Walk up into Dalt Vila through the Portal de ses Taules gate and follow the cobbled streets to the cathedral at the top for the best harbour views on the island. Combine the walk with a couple of hours at Talamanca or Figueretes beach — both are close enough to do in the same afternoon.
🚢 Ship Excursion Verdict
Skip it — Dalt Vila is compact, safe, and easy to explore on foot, and the closest beaches need nothing more than a short walk. The one exception is a Formentera day trip, which needs a ferry and enough port time to make the crossing worthwhile.
