Costa Smeralda entered service in 2019 as the first LNG-powered ship in Costa's fleet and is one of its two largest, at about 185,000 gross tons and 5,224 guests at double occupancy. Her interiors celebrate Italian cities and design, centred on the three-deck Colosseo, which serves as an atrium by day and a theatre at night, and on CoDe, the Costa Design Museum, with around 500 pieces of Italian design. For winter 2026–27 she is scheduled to sail seven-night cruises from Dubai and Abu Dhabi to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Oman.

✦ The standout feature

CoDe, the 400-square-metre Costa Design Museum — the first onboard design museum in the fleet — and the three-deck Colosseo lounge with its LED-screen dome.
