Norwegian Jewel entered service in 2005 as the lead ship of NCL's Jewel-class fleet, a design later repeated across Pearl, Gem, and Jade. Since then she's crossed oceans and continents, sailing everywhere from the Mediterranean to Australia and Asia before settling into her current rhythm: Caribbean and Bahamas sailings from Miami in winter, then 7- to 9-night Bermuda cruises from Philadelphia through the warmer months. A September–October 2025 drydock added the new Vibe Beach Club adults-only retreat and refreshed cabins and public rooms fleet-wide. At 93,502 gross tons and around 2,400 guests, Jewel keeps the ornate, Tsar's Palace-themed dining room and Freestyle Cruising flexibility that made the class popular, on a scale far more intimate than NCL's newest ships.
Jewel's Tsar's Palace main dining room, styled after 19th-century Imperial Russia with faux Fabergé eggs and burgundy-and-gold décor, is one of the most distinctive main dining rooms anywhere in NCL's fleet.
