Norwegian Spirit is one of Norwegian Cruise Line's older ships, launched in 1998 and given a $100 million-plus revitalization in 2020 that added 14 new venues and expanded her Mandara Spa. Rather than a fixed homeport, she runs one of the most geographically varied schedules in the NCL fleet — South Pacific voyages from Sydney, Papeete and Lautoka, 16-day 'Fire and Ice' repositioning sailings between Honolulu and Vancouver, and seasonal Australia/New Zealand deployment, all within a single year.
A near-total 2020 refurbishment gave this 1998-built ship modern venues — including Onda by Scarpetta Italian restaurant and Silk Modern Asian — while keeping her more intimate, under-2,000-guest scale that's increasingly rare in NCL's current fleet.
