Silver Nova
“Silversea's largest ship and the first hybrid luxury cruise ship — LNG, fuel cells and batteries.”
Silver Nova entered service on 20 July 2023 as the lead ship of the Evolution class, built by Meyer Werft in Germany. At about 54,700 gross tons and 801 feet she is Silversea's largest ship, carrying 728 guests in 364 suites. Her asymmetrical design offsets the engine casing for better ocean views, and she is the first hybrid luxury cruise ship combining LNG, fuel cells and battery power, able to operate emission-free in ports with a 4-megawatt fuel cell system. She was named on 4 January 2024, Silversea's 30th anniversary, and in 2025 completed a 47-day circumnavigation of Australia.
The first hybrid luxury cruise ship — LNG, a 4 MW fuel cell system and batteries — with an asymmetrical design for better views.
