About Silversea Cruises

Founded 1994 · Ultra-luxury, all-suite cruising with butler service

Silversea was founded in 1994 in Monaco, runs executive operations from Fontvieille, Monaco, and operations from Miami, and has been fully owned by Royal Caribbean Group since July 2020 (a majority stake was acquired in 2018). It is known for all-suite accommodations, butler service for every suite, and a high level of included extras such as beverages and gratuities.

Twelve ships are currently in service: the newest Evolution-class pair, Silver Nova (2023) and Silver Ray (2024); the Muse-class ships Silver Muse, Silver Moon and Silver Dawn; Silver Spirit, lengthened in 2018; the classic Silver Whisper and Silver Shadow; and the expedition ships Silver Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Endeavour and the Galápagos ship Silver Origin.

The S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) culinary program connects dining to the destinations visited, and partnerships such as Relais & Châteaux's La Dame bring fine dining to sea. Silver Nova is the first hybrid luxury cruise ship, using LNG, fuel cells and batteries.
