Viking Vesta was completed on 30 June 2025 and named in a ceremony in Split, Croatia, with her maiden voyage departing on 2 July 2025. She is the second ship of the slightly larger Vela class, with 499 all-veranda staterooms for 998 guests and a 4.7 MWh battery. She is designed for the future use of hydrogen as fuel and is planned to sail in the Mediterranean and to destinations in Northern Europe.
