Royal Princess launched in 2013 as the first of Princess Cruises' now six-strong Royal-class fleet, becoming the largest ship built for Princess at the time and introducing design features — including the cantilevered glass-floor SeaWalk — that would define the class. Today she splits her year between Alaska's Inside Passage from Seattle in summer and Mexican Riviera sailings from Los Angeles in winter. At 142,714 gross tons and 3,600 guests, she offers the full contemporary Princess experience: The Sanctuary, The Enclave spa retreat, and a broad specialty dining line-up, all wrapped in a still-manageable ship size that suits both scenic Alaska cruising and warmer winter getaways.
SeaWalk — Royal Princess was the first cruise ship in the world to introduce this glass-bottomed, cantilevered walkway extending out over the side of the ship, a feature since replicated across the rest of the Royal-class fleet.
